Dear Foothill Oaks Parents & Guardians,

As principal of Foothill Oaks, I’m incredibly excited to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year and
our wonderful learning community. We’re looking forward to partnering with you to ensure all students
feel welcomed, connected and part of our Foothill Oaks’ Wolfpack Family. Our highly qualified team of
teachers and support staff is committed to providing our students with exceptional
opportunities/experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, is the first day of school. Our start time is 8:45 am. All students will start
school at the same time every day and will be released two hours early every Wednesday for staff
Professional Learning Time (PLT). Early Release Wednesday hours are 8:45a.m. to 1:27 p.m.
Breakfast starts at 8:10 in the cafeteria.

Attendance is extremely important. Instruction begins promptly, so please make sure your child arrives
on time and ready to learn. If you have questions, call 196-566-1830. Please leave your name, number
and message. Our office will reopen on August 3, 2023. You can also find information about our school
on our website https://foothilloaks.trusd.net.

We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
1. Attends school daily and arrives on time
2. Completes all homework assignments
3. Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
4. Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of their school life

We have several family events planned for the school year. Please consider serving on our School Site
Council (SSC) and our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). On August 16 from 4:00-5:00, we
will have an informal Meet the Teacher event. This is a quick stop by the school, meet the teacher
event designed to reduce anxiety by familiarizing students to the campus and their new classrooms.
We will also have several parent information stations, including Aeries Portal.

To stay informed of all that is taking place at Foothill Oaks, please be sure to have an updated cell
phone number and email address to receive information via our Aeries Portal/ParentSquare messaging
system. Class assignments will be released via this Aeries system, so it is important that your
information is current. Please reach out to our office staff if you need assistance.
